It was great to see our apprentice Jack Martin back in the winner’s stall at Wangaratta on Sunday 4th March, after a an injury-enforced break over summer.  Jack rode Toan Thang for owner Steve Watkins in the Mason Park Funerals handicap, and the son of Husson put in a strong performance, coming from the rear of the field at the 400m mark and powering down the straight to win by a head.

This is the third win from 19 starts for Toan Thang, and he has been a consistent performer since his arrival at Epsom Lodge late last year.  Congratulations to Steve, who is a huge supporter of the Victorian Thoroughbred Industry and is himself a former Gr.1 trainer.  Congrats also to the Epsom Lodge crew, and many thanks to all of them for their hard work and dedication.
