This was without a doubt the most exciting Melbourne Premier Sales in recent memory, with some outstanding horses offerered for sale and buyer confidence at a high.
Record sale prices were achieved, with Pat buying Lot 47, a magnificent Fastnet Rock filly on day one for $675K, eclipsing the previous record of $620K set in 2006. This is indeed a rarity for us, as we seldom have the opportunity to buy horses at the top end of town, but alas our time at the head of the leaderboard was short, with another record of $700K set on day 3.

Pat was active in bidding on several quality fillies and colts, and was also succesful in securing Lot 16, a very attractive Smart Missile filly out of Fraschetti. We have a busy few weeks coming up, with the Adelaide Magic Million sale in a couple of weeks, followed by the Easter yearling sales in Sydney. Each year we look forward to the challenge of selecting our racehorses of the future, and this year we believe we are off to a flying start!
