Bel Esprit / Pentaya 2 year old Bay Filly

A Bel Esprit Filly out of Pentaya. (SUPER VOBIS QUALIFIED) This is a well developed filly from a family that we have had good success with in the past including city winners Suntaya and Varsilayos (also Ballarat Cup Winner).  As a sire Bel Esprit is going very well particulary with the fillies he has produced (Black Caviar)  Whilst this filly is probably a 1600 metre type of horse we expect Bel Esprit to influence the pedigree with speed.  There is a high percentage of winners to runners with this family.  Currently being broken in.

Darci Brahma/Agi Gu Li 2 year old Bay Colt

Lot 829 a Colt by Darci Brahma (by Danehill) out of Agi Gu Li. Darci Brahma was the Champion 2 & 3 year old in New Zealand who topped the sales for first season sires with an average of $90k plus.  The mare Agi Gu Li won 7 races from 1200 to 1400 metres and was placed in listed company.

This is a smart running type of colt currently being broken in and looks to be an early runner over 1200 to 1600 metres.

Fastnet Rock / Mise en Demeure 2 year old Bay Colt

Lot 263 - Melbourne Premier Sale:

 A colt by Fastnet Rock out of Mise en Demeure.  Is there a stallion in Australia going better than Fastnet Rock at the moment?  I don't think so!!  This colt is out of a Red Ransom mare from the direct family of More Than Ready.  He looks to be a miler type of horse.  Ready to be broken in and I am sure you wont be able to buy a Fastnet Rock at the Easter Yearling Sales for under $200k.  He is expected to stand next year at $100k plus.

Oratorio / Glamour 2 year old Bay Filly

Lot 153 a bay Filly by Oratorio out of Glamour.  A classic type of filly with a pedigree to match.  Oratorio (by Danehill) has had a great start to his first season with a first & second in the Dewhurst Stakes Group 1 in New Zealand 2 weeks ago.  The mare, Glamour (by Sadlers Wells), has a family full of Stakes winners.  This filly is a lovely type of filly and is currently being broken in.

Volksraad/Pasithea 2 year old Chestnut Filly

Lot 607 a lovely Chestnut Filly by Volksraad out of Pasithea, purchased at the New Zealand Yearling Sales in Karaka, this filly is a full sister to the recent Group 2 Placegetter in the Desert Gold Stakes in New Zealand "Marsh Harbour".  She is a strong attractive filly and we elected to leave her in New Zealand at Mapperly Stud to take advantage of the beautiful pasture and is now ready to be broken in. 

This filly looks to be the type of horse who will get a mile or further on her pedigree.
