Pat seems to have uncovered another gem in Cristalina Lago (Encosta de Lago/Muzaretta), winner at Mornington today in a 2 year old fillies race over 1000m. Stephen King rode her an absolute treat, and guided her to a comfortable win at only her second start.

It was a win that celebrated friendship and family ties, as she is raced by friends and a couple of families. Breeders Andrew Baddock and Graeme Carter have leased the filly to their friends Peter and Mary Weal, Prue, Ellie, Sam and Tom Adam, and Bernadette and Michael O'Connor, as well as Cheryl's cousin Russell and Pam Shore along with their four children and their partners.

On this happy occasion we remember Simon Adam, who took great joy from his involvement with Cristalina but passed from this life before she commenced her racing career.   We hope that he was watching and cheering her on from above, and that this win brings joy to the family and friends that miss him.
