We may have discovered another star today with Docking's win at Cranbourne. This horse has landed in the winners enclosure at only his 3rd start after 2 unlucky seconds. He comes from the first crop of Astronomer Royal and is raced and bred by Michael Carlile.
Michael bred the dam, Spoilt for Choice (by Redoute's Choice) and this is her fourth foal and first winner. It has taken some time and plenty of patience from Michael and from Pat for Docking to get to this stage, and it is great when you finally reap the rewards. He is still learning and can only improve with further growth and maturity.
Congratulations to Michael on the achievement of a long-held goal, and to the Epsom Lodge team for their crucial part in bringing this horse to his best which makes it two winners in two days for the stable.
