Congratulations are due to connections of Choppa, winner of the Ararat RSL Maiden Plate at Ararat today. Choppa is raced by Porter/Pelchen Bloodstock along with family and friends, and today was his first win from only his third start.
Choppa (by Amadeus Wolf out of Bossinova) scored a nice strong win courtesy of a well-judged ride by Roger Booth. Roger is an integral member of the PG Carey Racing team, and a highly successful jockey with many years experience.
Today's win is a result of succesful teamwork and patience from all the crew at Epsom Lodge who have worked hard to educate Choppa and teach him the ropes as a racehorse. It was very satisfying to see Choppa put it all together today and again thank you to our staff all of whom do an outstanding job caring for our horses.
