We love to hear how our horses are going after they finish their racing careers, and we particularly love to hear about the foals born to our former fillies and mares.

This week we were thrilled to hear that Bella Mews has had her first foal, a lovely neat filly by Gr1 winning sire CROWDED HOUSE who stands at Wattle Grove Stud in NSW.  As you can see she is only a couple of hours old in this photo and still very rocky on her legs. It  also looks like "Bella" is already a doting mother.

Her sparkling white socks behind and flashy star on her forehead are very much like her sire who is a striking looking chestnut – as you can see in this article by Tara Madgwick. http://www.breednet.com.au/news/92489/Timing

It is very satisfying to be able to train the progeny of our race mares, and this year we have Super Sell in the stables, a 3 year old daughter of Soft Sell who won 5 races for us – including a couple in town.  Super Sell is raced by a syndicate put together by Shelley Hancox Bloodstock which also includes some of the former Leasees of her mother "Soft Sell".

We now have more babies on the ground out of our own stock in Starlet O'Hara and Flotercher (see story in Stable News with some cute photos). Thank you to David and Kayley Johnson of "Rushton Park" for sending through the photos and for continuing to do an amazing job with not only our horses but with all of the mares and foals in their care. They have safely delivered several of ours and our clients foals in the past 3 years, and always give mother and foal the very best of attention. You can see some of their foals from previous years on their website  http://rushtonpark.com.au.  Take a look at the 2012 HighChaparral/Infrared colt, a half-brother to one of our special horses who was close to our hearts in CEDARBERG.  He is growing into an impressive young racehorse and is currently in our stables for a development preparation.  We are excited to be training him and look forward to his future with much anticipation.
