The weekend kicked off at Mornington on Friday with the impressive win by 3yr old Helenus gelding, Cedarberg. Ridden by Ryan Maloney, the gelding travelled well throughout the race and won the race comfortably. Bred and raced by Wyadup Valley Farm and Mr R Willis, the up and coming young stayer looks to have a bright future.

The success continued on Sunday at Cranbourne with Flotercher taking out the 2000m Maiden, by 7 lengths. The daughter of Tiger Hill (son of Danehill), out of a half sister to Defier, from the family of Triscay, impressed jockey Craig Williams and has a bright staying future with Pat looking to head towards the Tasmanian Oaks with her. Owned by Mrs O’shea and Mrs Delroy, in partnership with Cheryl’s newly formed Ladies in Racing Syndicate, this was their first winner, hopefully, with many more to come.

Keep you posted!
