Spur On Gold (Flying Spur/Witwatersrand) broke through for his maiden win today at only his fourth start.  A win at our home track is always very enjoyable, and as the jockey, and the owners and breeders of Spur On Gold are all based on the Mornington Peninsula that makes it all the better.

Many congratulations to David Kobritz and Teresa Poon of Musk Creek Farm, breeders and owners of Spur On Gold. Musk Creek Farm is a beautiful boutique thoroughbred property in Flinders, set on beautiful rolling hills and with a view of the sea. Musk Creek prepared champion Pierro for the sales, and have had a great deal of success in the sale ring as well as on the track.  http://www.muskcreekfarm.com.au/

Spur On Gold was expertly ridden by Roger Booth today, and Pat believes that he is a horse with a good future ahead of him.  Roger is a huge asset to the PG Carey Racing team, and is in great form himself at the moment riding a double at the Gunbower meeting last Saturday.  Roger knows Spur On Gold inside out as he rides him in trackwork most mornings, and he certainly got the best out of him today.

Well done to David and Alison and the team at Musk Creek Farm who care for Spur On Gold when he is spelling, and to the team at Epsom Lodge who have done such a great job getting him to his best for today.
