The New Year is off to a flying start with Cheryl’s 3YO filly The Sisters (Husson/Orphan) winning her first ever start at our home track on Sunday 6th January. Named after a small farming community in the Western District, the filly was ridden extremely well by our apprentice Jack Martin who went on to ride a double for the meeting.
A graduate of the 2017 VOBIS Gold sales, The Sisters was bred by Carole and John Randalls and was part of Leeanne Smith’s Bucklee Farm draft. As always we are thankful to all of our staff for their efforts.
