We had a successful day's shopping on Day 1 at the Inglis Melbourne Premier Sale at Oaklands. Having had a good look at what was on offer, together with my trusty sidekick Cheryl, we made our short list and went into battle.

Our first purchase of the day was a beautiful filly Lot 44 which was offered by Swettenham Stud. The bay filly by Equiano is out of Anna Dana had lots of black type on her page and I'm sure you'll agree when you take a look at her pictures, she has quality written all over her.

While  over the next couple of days there was a few lots that went slightly beyond our grasp, the next Lot we secured was Lot 732 from Yallambee Stud. This Bay filly is by dual hemisphere sire Super Saver who has been described as "precocious as well as Classic", as he set a record as a 2 year old in the Gr2 Kentucky Stakes, and went on to win the Gr1 Kentucky Derby.  She is the first foal from a winning European mare with a bloodline that includes Northern Dancer, Sir Ivor and Sadler's Wells.

The sales are an exciting time as everyone is trying to scout a future champion. It was great to see such a big crowd at the Inglis Complex today and there was a real buzz about the place.

We are quietly excited about our purchases and can't wait to see them on the race track. We have limited shares available in both horses and would love to get you on board to experience the thrills of owning a race horse.

If you are interested, or would like to receive any further information please don't hesitate to contact either myself, Cheryl, or our office.
