The Epsom Lodge Crop of 2014 yearlings are now two-year olds, and well on their way to becoming racehorses.
We have a well established Early Education process for our horses, and we take them through each stage at their own pace. Pat is a firm believer in "tightening the screws slowly" to avoid over-stressing growing bodies and minds.
The Equiano/Anna Dana filly has progressed well, she is working on the track in company and has completed her barrier education. She is a striking looking filly and looks all class.
The Super Saver filly has taken everything in her stride, and is now ready to go out for a spell. She has been introduced to the barriers, but has not been asked for speed this preparation, and we are very much looking forward to her return in 2 months' time.
We are very pleased with the progress of the Kaphero/Frustration filly (see below) who has grown into a strong and well balanced individual with plenty of spirit. She has taken her educational preparation in her stride, and all signs are pointing to her being a 2 year old.
The lone "rooster in the hen-house" this year is our Written Tycoon/Lady Rohlon colt, and he is a very forward, very cheeky customer. He has had a Ready to Race sale preparation, and is undergoing barrier training to round out his education. This colt too is looking like he could be a 2 year old.
We have ownership opportunities in some of these horses, and welcome your enquiries. Please see our Horses Available page http://patrickcareyracing.com.au/horses-available for further information about these horses.
