We were delighted to see so many familiar faces among the guests who came along to our annual Yearling Parade on Sunday 22nd October.  It was a bit of a wet and windy day for an outside event, but thankfully there was plenty of shelter under our verandahs, and we got through much of the proceedings without getting too soaked.

Steve Moran did a fantastic job as MC, and he and Pat gave us a great insight into the breeding of the Racehorses of the Future that we paraded.  This year we purchased 7 yearlings at the sales, they are now going through their development programs, and well on the way to becoming racehorses.

Thanks to Shona Drecshler who recorded the event in video and photos, to Aaron from Pala Cibo in Watt Road for the delicious food, and to Damian from Cafe 2 U who kept us warm with hot coffees and hot chocolates.  It was also great to see Deryn from Strides Ahead who works on our horses, Greg and Di who have just finished our new steel horse yards, and of course our Award Winning vet Dr Eoin Kelly who has just been honoured as the Irish Australian Young Entrepreneur of 2017.

Many thanks to all of the crew who worked hard to make sure that the Parade went off without a hitch.  Adam, Tony and Donna who led the horses in, Paul, Barry and Kaleb who prepared the horses, Mandy and Marianne who took care of the preparations, Taylah and Shae who greeted visitors and gave out name tags and programs, and most importantly Cheryl who planned and orchestrated the entire function.

We hope that everyone enjoyed meeting the 2017 Epsom Lodge Racehorses of the Future, and we look forward to doing it all again next year!
