This weekend marks the start of the four day Melbourne Premier Yearling sales, traditionally the most prestigious Victorian sale each year. We will be attending these sales, and have identified some prospects based on pedigree that we will be sure to inspect further.
This sale has consistently produced top-class racehorses, and this year there are plenty of well-bred youngsters to choose from. Over 770 lots are catalogued, with many by first season sires such as Melbourne Cup winner FIORENTE who has 30 sons and daughters entered, including a lovely colt out of a mare we trained called Flotercher Lot 485. Over 500 of the yearlings on sale are already entered for the Super VOBIS scheme which pays such great dividends, and all are eligible to enter the lucrative Inglis Race Series.
