Kasane showed her staying ability by winning the last race on the programme at Tatura this afternoon.

The daughter of Helenus was the warm $3.30 fav. for the 0-62 1980m event and was ridden by former leading WA apprentice in Damien Lane.

Kasane raced on the pace for the entire trip and as they turned for for home, the mare only needed to gain a run to snatch victory.

Kasane was very strong over the final 200m and showed to both Damien Lane and trainer Pat Carey that Kasane will only get better once the races get further.

Kasane is raced by Pat's wife Cheryl in partnership with Trevor Delroy of Wyadup Valley.
