It was great to see John Sweeney’s black with lime stars colours in the winners circle at Cranbourne on Friday night. John is a long time friend and client, and he and his syndicate members are the owners of Nicodame (Niconi/Zolletta) who won the Mega Trim motor trimming maiden at Cranbourne on Friday 19th May.
A polished ride from Harry Coffey saw the filly return a strong 3 length win on a soft 5 track, so it would appear that she will do well racing over winter. She is a graduate of the 2014 Inglis VOBIS Gold Sales, and this sale has been a bit of a happy hunting ground for John and for PG Carey Racing over the years. This filly has overcome a few early setbacks, and it is great to see that patience has been rewarded with a promising win.
