Elle Excite lived up to her name at Pakenham today, giving her owners one 'elle of an exciting win at her first ever start.

Pat purchased Elle, a daughter of Excites, out of Jacquinella (a Zeditave mare) at the Melbourne Autumn Yearling sales in 2012, and she has a large ownership group who are over the moon.  Congratulations go to Steve and Ryan who enjoyed success with Dame Claire, and now part-own Elle with a group of their mates.  Elle races in the same colours as city winner Angela's Dream, courtesy of Frank who was a part-owner of  Angela.  This is the second ever runner and first ever winner for three friends who have formed the 333 Syndicate, so this is a great introduction to the racing game for them!  Congratulations also to Jim, this is his first horse with Pat.  Like Dean of 333 Syndicate, he spotted Elle in the Horses Available on our website, liked her pedigree and her trainer, and now he has a share in a first-start winner!

Congratulations and thanks go to Jockey Roger Booth who is an integral part of the Pat Carey Racing team. He is there at the track every morning, and today he gave Elle a great ride.  Well done to all the team at Epsom Lodge, they work hard to produce our horses at their best, and support Pat to help each horse achieve their full potential.

Elle was not a million-dollar baby, and she is not fashionably bred, but she shows that the dream of having a winner is alive and well if you have patience, trust in your trainer, and a good dose of luck!
