Today's win by Spur On Gold in the Bayside Jeep Easter Cup was the second Cup in two days for our apprentice Aaron Mitchell.  Yesterday Aaron took the long trek to Kerang for a book of five rides, and came home victorious in the CluBarham Kerang Cup.  Today he followed up at Mornington with two rides for the stable, with first starter Super Sell finishing fifth, and promising young stayer Spur On Gold resuming with a win.

Spur On Gold (Flying Spur – Wittwatersrand)  is owned by David Kobritz of Musk Creek Farm, a magnificent boutique thoroughbred property in Flinders   They have a draft of four beautifully bred yearlings at the Inglis Easter Yearling Sale  and we will be following them with interest in the ring.

It was a most enjoyable day at the races, congratulations to Melbourne Racing Club for their efforts in putting on a great day of racing headlined by the Bayside Jeep Easter Cup.  This is the second year that Bayside Jeep has sponsored this race, and it is great to see local companies  active in the community and putting their support behind Mornington racing.

A big vote of thanks to the Epsom Lodge team, particularly Adam who did a great job on the day. Everyone makes a valuable contribution to the care of our horses and their dedication is very much appreciated.
