Dame Claire made it a one act affair at Pakenham this afternoon winning the 0-62 2400m race in grand style by four lengths.

The daughter of Danehill Dancer has now won two races this preparation and relishes the longer staying trips.

The  P G  Carey Racing Team were most impressed with her win this afternoon and the intention is to now take the mare through her grades and keep her at these longer trips.

We also believe that Dame Claire will get even better with further racing and looks to be a nice progressive mare.

Congratulations goes to John Sweeney and partners who are enjoying great success at the moment.

It also came as great compensation for all concerned this afternoon as Spot On Maggie who is raced in similar interests, was narrowly defeated at Sale on Sunday in the Inglis $100,000 race.

Patrick Carey Racing is enjoying a great run at the moment and lets hope it continues through the VRC Spring Carnival week with a couple of hopefuls running on Cup day.

                !!!!!!!GOOD LUCK TO ALL CONCERNED!!!!!!!
