Easter Sunday at Mornington was a happy day for the Carey crew with Boss Tweed (Street Boss – Salonika) getting the chocolates in the Highview Accounting maiden plate.  Jockey Rhys McLeod made the most of every opportunity, letting him settle in the run then winding up down the road side to move into second in the straight and fight out the finish to win by a neck.

The big chestnut son of Street Boss has an enthusiastic ownership group, and many of them were at the track to celebrate his win.  Congratulations to all owners: Cheryl, Ivan, Bruce, Darren, Jackie, Paul, Gary, Warwick, Terry, Charlie, the Shore family, Deryn and the Boysdayout syndicate, and Clayton and the group from Pro Tour Racing.

Boss Tweed is a graduate of the 2016 Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale, and is a Super VOBIS and VOBIS Gold horse.  Pat has a great record with his yearling purchases, and the 2016 team have done well so far with 4 of the 6 winning races – city winner Tuskar Brook, Music of the Night, Ultra Smart and now Boss Tweed.

Many thanks to the stable and track staff, as well as our vets, farriers and specialists who look after our horses on a day to day basis.  They all take the greatest of care with each and every horse, and their hard work pays off on days like today when we achieve such satisfying wins.
