Race 8 – Heading Out Hair & Beauty Handicap

Pat Carey and Damian Lane combined for a blowout win to end the middle day of the Crown Golden Ale Caulfield Cup Carnival.

They teamed to get London Stripe home at $31 in the $80,000 Heading Out Hair & Beauty Handicap (1600m).

The Irish import came with a late surge to nail $7.50 chance Arctic Song right on the line – a short-half-head the winning margin – with Felidea ($31) a half-length away in third.

By The Grace, who finished just a short-half-head back in fourth position, protested against the second place getter for interference over the final 200m, an objection stewards quickly dismissed.
