Three year old filly Abolish (Equiano/Anna Dana) delivered on the promise she has always shown with a determined win in the Browns Sawdust and Shavings maiden plate at Mornington yesterday.

Abolish did not do it easy at any stage, becoming stirred up in the mounting yard and needing all of Rhys McLeod's horsemanship and riding skills to get her out onto the track and around to the barriers.  During the race she was caught wide throughout without cover, working home strongly to win by a head on the line.

Congratulations to all owners including Glenn, Andrew and Lisa, Dennis, Liam, Peter and Jill, Mark and Melissa, and Doug.  She has given them some fun with 3 placings in her previous 8 starts, but there is nothing like the thrill of a win – especially on our home track.

Well done to all of the Epsom Lodge team, particularly Adam who has a real affection for this flighty filly.  Thanks to all of our staff for their hard work and dedication to each and every horse in our care.
